Grand Turk
Grand Turk is an island in the Turks and Caicos Island. The whole island is 7 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. It has approximately 3,720 people on it. Christopher Columbus first landed on this island in his trip in 1492 however then John Glenn found it in 1962 after orbiting Earth.
One of Grand Turk's main attraction is diving, there is an amazing coral reef which drops to 8,000 feet but close enough to shore for beach dives. In whale-watching season, it's possible to see humpback whales. There are many historic buildings which reflect on the colonial and British - Bermudian heritage.
When we arrived in Grand Turk, there were 2 cruise boat. We headed straight to this amazing restaurant/bar/pool area, this was recommended by a customer my Dad works for, which has free WiFi. We arrived at 10am. We spent our time in the pool, on the WiFi, eating lunch, drinking and listening to the music they were playing. It had a great atmosphere. By the time we left at 1:15pm, there was a very long queue for a table, we were glad we didn't have to wait. I would definitely recommend visiting there if you can.
2:30pm, we headed on our tour. We took a short trip on a bus to the place, where the Segways are kept. We were given a training session on how to use the Segway. I was very nervous, I didn't want to fall off. It's all based on balance. I didn't take any photos on the Segways around the island because I didn't want to let go. Here is a few pictures of me in the training session. We were asked to go around the cones and onto the road/sand. On the tour, we had a radio in our ears, which the tour guide told us all about the island. We were on main roads which was scary but also on the beach and off road sections - sometime we had big pot holes to avoid.
The weather was great and I had a great day. I would definitely recommend going to Grand Turk to visit if you can, especially doing Segways somewhere. We've been meaning to do it for years but my sister was never old enough.
Have you ever been to Grand Turk? What would you suggest to do? Are there any other islands I should visit?

My sister and I decided that we wanted to look around the shops before heading on our tour but my parents didn't want to. They headed to the beach, while we went shopping. It was a very quick look around the island but it was lovely. The area was clean and tidy. It wasn't a big area but it was lovely to look at. Grand Turk is famous for their beaches, because the sand is white and the sea is blue - so my parents headed to walk down along the beach.
